American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 17-week night shift travel contract on an Oncology unit, requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience and a GA or compact RN license.

• Acute care hospital setting on a 29-bed inpatient Oncology unit (7th floor)
• Patient population includes acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, medical overflow, oncology, and end-of-life care
• Outpatient oncology patients may be transferred to the floor to complete treatment when the outpatient area closes
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• 3 nurse aides generally available per shift
• Charge nurse is outside of the staffing grid except under unusual circumstances
• Telemetry monitoring present via central monitor; ability to read strips is not required
• EMR: MEDITECH
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays rotate with staff
• Floating to medical acute is rare
• 3-day floor-specific orientation provided

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA); NIHSS preferred; ONS certification required if administering chemotherapy
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Time off and scheduling requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the start of the assignment
• Any RTO requests must be established prior to the start of the assignment
