Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification, covering a full-range MRI department including cardiac, breast, and angio studies.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department, MRI unit
- Department has 3 MRI scanners: Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, and Espree 1.5T
- Wide range of studies performed including cardiac, breast, and some angiography
- Average of 35–40 scans per day
- IV placement required
- EMR: Epic; PACS: McKesson (transitioning to Merge)
- 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), days vary on a rotating schedule
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- Call/standby requirement
- No floating outside of MRI
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required
- Active ARRT (MR) certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment
- Experience with Epic EMR
- IV placement skills required
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- License required if applicable; active state or compact (NLC) licensure required — pending licenses will not be accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Perform a wide variety of MRI studies including cardiac, breast, and angiography imaging
- Radiologist is in-house during daytime hours; a radiology resident covers nights
- Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of training with a flexible schedule
- Gray scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
- Candidates may not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms may be considered
- This position is covering maternity leave
