Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Assess client needs through comprehensive interviews and evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy to meet the specific needs of clients.
- Facilitate group sessions for clients, providing a supportive environment for shared experiences and collaborative growth.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and the secure handling of sensitive data.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, conferences, and training to stay updated on emerging mental health research and techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work with diverse demographics, providing mental health services to individuals and families who often encounter barriers to care. Our focus includes a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
- A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse clientele.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software and telehealth technology.
Preferred Experience
- Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for clients.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 90,000 annually, determined by experience and caseload availability. In addition to competitive compensation, employees will have access to comprehensive benefits including:
