Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Clear Mind Psychological Services, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough clinical assessments to understand and evaluate clients' mental health needs effectively.
- Developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans tailored to meet the specific goals and challenges of each client.
- Providing individual, couples, and group counseling sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques to promote emotional healing and growth.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive care, sharing insights to enhance treatment effectiveness.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines to uphold patient privacy.
- Participating in regular clinical supervision, case conferences, and ongoing professional development to refine your skills and stay current with best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will involve working with a diverse range of clients, each with unique backgrounds and mental health challenges. The majority of our clientele includes individuals grappling with addiction, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and general emotional distress. Your expertise and empathy will be essential in fostering trusting relationships, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys effectively.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
- A Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited program.
- A solid track record of conducting individual and group therapy sessions in mental health settings.
- Proficiency in applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques appropriate for mental health treatment.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A strong commitment to ethical principles and maintaining client confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
While not required, candidates with experience in telehealth practices or familiarity with technology-enhanced therapy methods will have an advantage. Additionally, experience in crisis intervention or working with diverse populations can highlight your suitability for this role.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Clear Mind Psychological Services offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
