Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' symptoms and emotional states, determining the extent of mood disorder impacts on their daily lives.
- Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their goals and needs, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatments, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
- Monitor and document client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork, collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients.
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment, contributing to enhanced therapy methods.
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all client records are kept confidential and up to date.
- Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional education.
- Advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to combat stigma and improve awareness of mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role will primarily engage with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges related to mood disorders, relationship dynamics, and divorce. Your work will involve understanding complex familial systems and addressing the unique needs of each client, fostering healing and resilience.
Qualifications
- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build trusting relationships with clients.
- A strong sense of empathy and a nonjudgmental approach towards clients' experiences.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, essential for managing a caseload effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in specific therapeutic modalities such as structural family therapy, narrative therapy, or communication therapy is highly desirable.
- Prior work in community health settings or clinics specifically focused on family dynamics and relationships.

- Annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with education and experience.
