Work Environment
The position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still engaging with families and children in the school setting. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine the needs and strengths of children and families within the educational framework.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), ensuring that all strategies align with best practices and family goals.
- Monitor progress and outcomes, engaging with interdisciplinary teams to adjust services as necessary to optimize child development and family support.
- Provide training, resources, and coaching to families, helping them to implement strategies that foster their child's growth in natural environments.
- Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to social work practice and early intervention services.
- Build meaningful rapport with children, families, and team members, creating an environment where learning and support flourish.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to develop joint plans with families tailored to the unique needs of each child.
- Engage with families to provide ongoing support and resources related to enhancing their child's developmental skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role focuses primarily on working with infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays. By addressing the critical early years, LCSWs at Everlasting Bonds Therapy ensure that children acquire essential skills in physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication domains. The collaborative approach we employ emphasizes the importance of family involvement in the intervention process, ultimately leading to enhanced outcomes for children.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure from the Department of Public Health with a LCSW designation.
- A valid driver's license, with ability to travel as needed for client engagements.
- Proficiency in utilizing various learning styles to address the individualized needs of each child.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with children in early intervention settings.
- Understanding and commitment to Natural Learning Environment Practices.
